Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc. uses health insurance system to benefit important local area charity.
(Burlington, WA‐March 8, 2019) Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc. (MTC) will direct a bonus of $1,040.00, received by LBG Advisors, to Helping Hands Food Bank of Skagit County.
The donation is a result of a foundational policy instituted by LBG Advisors in which they do not accept insurance carrier bonuses, or any other related compensation commonly seen in the industry. Instead, if these monies are received, the are donated to 501c3 organizations.
Beth Edwards, MTC’s HR Manager, was eager to point out, “MTC could not be happier to make contributions like this in both the community we work in and serve; especially when it helps meet the needs of people struggling with basic needs like hunger. Using a cash bonus from our medical insurance carrier seems like an absolutely appropriate way to benefit our community as well as an organization like Helping Hands Food Bank of Skagit County.”
Ron Kirkpatrick, CEO of LBG Advisors issued the following statement, “We are excited to partner with community focused clients like Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc. to impact the areas they serve through organizations such as Helping Hands Food Bank. It has always been our policy to direct bonus monies and non‐standard compensation structures from insurance carriers used by our clientele to local charities. We feel this allows us to represent our client in the purest way while helping those in need.”
In conclusion, this historically odd partnership of client/broker has developed into a trusted relationship because of transparency and service; the results are that MTC & LBG, together, are supporting a well deserving organization, Helping Hands Food Bank of Skagit County, to provide more staple food items to the community.
